Spring 2013 is here and The Grayson County Shelter would like to take a moment to thank everyone here in the Denison Sherman area for all your help.

In the last couple of months The Grayson County Shelter has undergone some new renovations that will enable us better serve all our residents in the future. Hurray to all the generosity of our area's churches, organizations and individuals here in the Sherman/Denison Community. What a difference it has made!

We invite you as a member of the community here to stop by when you sign up as a Volunteer in the coming months and check out all the fantastic updates, and new things we have for our residents here to enjoy. Many thanks go out to the wonderful volunteers, workers, and helpers who have generously donated time, funds, and volunteers here to make sure everything is beautiful.

A Spring 2013 Project speaheaded by Shawna Lee of Castleberry Florist has stepped up to the plate in meeting our current needs and we are so grateful for everyone's hard work on this project. Not only were some major items added, but the residents now have new beds to go with all the new linens which were donated earlier this year. What a Great Way To Begin The New Year!

If you or your organization, neighborhood, church, or agency would like to find out more about how to help on a regular basis, please contact Michelle Holcomb our Volunteer Coordinator. She is eager to assist you with a putting a plan in place that will help each and every person and family currently staying here with us:
