Grayson County Shelter
Hope Lives Here
Grayson County Shelter is a non-profit homeless shelter for displaced families and singles that serves Grayson and surrounding counties in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. All services are provided free of charge to our clients. The Grayson County Shelter is not affiliated with any government agency (local, state or federal) and relies on the goodwill donations of our community, grants, and revenue from the resale shop, "The Crowded Closet," to cover all operating expenses.
Please open your hearts in support of the services offered at the Grayson County Shelter. Your donation can be a tremendous help to give families and individuals a chance to become self-sufficient once again.
The Grayson County Shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We thank you for your support in the community!
The Grayson County Shelter exists only because of the ongoing community support. We are grateful for everyone who attended our 30th Anniversary Gala. If you donated auction items, bought auction items, bought a table or tickets or provided a sponsorship -- you helped make the event successful. The event provided much-needed funds for the Shelter's continuing mission to serve the homeless in Grayson County.
GRAYSON COUNTY SHELTER is holding its 1st Annual FESTIVAL OF TREES on Saturday, December 2, 2017. We are asking for your help. Will you decorate a tree, in any manner you wish, to be presented and sold at our Festival? The Shelter will provide the tree; you provide the decorations. We will pick up your decorated tree upon your call or not later than Friday, December 1st. Please do the following:
- Let us know what size tree you would like to decorate: 3 ft, 4 ft or 5ft. A Shelter representative wiill bring a few to you; you make your choice.
- Decorate the tree in any manner you wish -- pleaes keep decorations in good taste -- family friendly.
- Please attach a business card or name tag to the base of the tree. If you wish to remain anonymous, let the representative know that as well; otherwise, we wiill be making a display card to let Festival goers know who decorated the tree.
- If you include gift cards, eetc. and wish people/buyers to know that, please let us know so we may include it on the display card.
If your tree doesn't sell at the Festival, it will be presented and sold at our Crowded Closet or given to a deserving organization or individual. We have limited storage space, however, if you prefer, we can hold it for our 2018 Festival of Trees. In any case, a Shelter representative will call and let you know of its disposition.
THANK YOU for your consideration of our request and your willingness to be a part of our 1st Annual Festival of Trees. If you have any questions, please call Annette Limoges at 903.465.6041.
